Motion Simulators

FUM-3RRS

Dependent on the type of simulation, simulators can be designed with fewer degrees of freedom and fewer links.

FUM-3RRS is a simulator with three degrees of freedom (DOF), and can create Heave, Pitch, and Roll movements at the end-effector.

The FUM-3RRS spatial parallel robot is composed of a base platform, a movable platform and three connecting legs.

Each leg contains two links, and a succession of revolute, revolute and spherical joints.

The two axes of revolute joints on each leg parallel each other and are perpendicular to the leg links.

This robot is used for creating stability in swinging and turbulent environments.

With small links, it occupies a limited space while creating a considerably large workspace.

FUM-3RRS can carry 250 Kg weights, move 15 centimeters up or down from its home state, and create Roll and Pitch up to 15 degrees at the end-effector.
