Mobile Robots
Mobile robotics has extended the scope of robotic application by adding the option of mobility. We can use mobile robots to carry and transfer heavy or sensitive material. This application can vary from deactivating a bomb to transferring factory products in huge storehouses. The option of mobility has also resulted in the possibility of combining the function of multi stationery robots into one mobile robot. Compared to stationery robots, mobile robots have a more complicated dynamic, which means an interdisciplinary team of researchers in the fields of mechanical design, mathematics, control, and materials science cooperate to overcome the challenges of manufacturing and control of these robots.
