Delta robots are from the family of parallel robots, recognized for their high speed (around 10 m/s) and acceleration (100-180 m/s²).
Delta robots have three parallelogram arms which are connected to an end effector.

The joints in these robots can be hinged, spherical, or universal. Due to their high performance speed, these parallel robots are widely used in the food and military industries, or other industries, for pick and place as well as packaging various types of products.

FUM-Delta is designed with one fixed connector plate (robot base), three holding arms with equal distance and two parallel links, spherical joints, and one end effector to connect the closed loop of its three arms. FUM-Delta uses 1 Kw motors, and is designed to pick and place objects 120 times per minute. Hence, it can be classified among the top robots in its class.
